Is your mom or dad a tree nazi?
It’s always a tradition for my dad, mama, sisters and I to decorate the family tree on Thanksgiving weekend. My mom’s what my family calls a “tree nazi”. She’s always critizizes and rearranges our ornaments and nags at us.
“You call that a trimming?”
“That trout is so dang ugly!”
“How dare you hang the Holy Family behind the Kermit! You oughta be ashamed of yourselves!”
“Leave those ornaments alone I’ll take care of those ones!”
“You can’t hang too many hearts on one side of the tree it’s too cluttery!”
“I thought I told you to put those ugly ones in the back!”
“Make sure they dangle. DANGLE!”
I have one of these moms, too. We just put things where we want them and she can change them later. Her thing is always “The tinsel isn’t right. One piece at a time.”
We just laugh at her and do what we want.
