Crystal or cut glass punch bowl value?
I need a little bit of money. I have an antique “collectors” punch bowl, platter, and cups set. Is there a way to determine the price of the item? Or a way to tell whether it is crystal or glass? It’s at least two feel in diameter. It looks very valuable. Please help. Answer asap, please. Thank you!
Crystal is going to be worth more than glass of course.
Not all “collectable” items are really collectable. It depends on lots of conditions:
Is it in good shape?
Does it have the manufacturers mark on it?
Does it have any papers of authenticity to go with it?
Then it depends on WHO made it, WHERE it was made, HOW many are in circulation, and HOW old it really is, and HOW popular this piece might be.
Good places to find out what kind of price your item might bring, is to look on Ebay or at online antique auction sites. Of course you have to know the name of your piece, as well as the maker, in order to find this stuff online.
